Pig Destroyer

Scott from ‘Pig Destroyer’ told me that it ‘was a monster on his 4×12′s. I like the voicing on this amp a lot. It sounds like a guitar amp as opposed to the other power amps I have been using. Its a really fantastic amp, sonically as well as its size.’

I have recently taken delivery of the new, 2U Matrix GT1000FX power amp to use with my Fractal Audio Axe-Fx II. Having spent the last four years using a Diezel VH4S valve head, for both live and studio work, I was concerned that I wouldn’t be able to reproduce those massive tones live. However, after auditioning numerous power amps (including several brand names), I settled for the Matrix. It has an incredible amount of power and headroom, and manages to retain its transparent and focused sound at all volume levels. The bottom end in particular is tight, fat and well defined. It is the perfect compliment to my Axe-Fx II and really delivers the goods. As an added bonus, it is so quiet that I would be happy to use it in my home studio! I am now fully converted to Matrix guitar amplification products and I would recommend them unreservedly to anybody searching for a superior power amp solution at a very affordable price point.

“It sounds wonderful! I LOVE the transparency and openness. Every chord sang and high string layers which were often lost in the mix with the Rocktron Velocity 300 cut through clear and sharp. I couldn’t get over the weight either, it’s PERFECT for touring! I have the most versatile, lightest, easiest to set up touring rig, I’m very stoked! I also couldnt get over how quiet and cool it felt! I used it for 4 hours and could barely feel any heat from it, those fans and the placement are perfect! (the rocktron would get REALLY hot and the fan placement was useless, especially when housed in a flight case!) – ”
Ross has also purchased the GM50.

“My favorite amps for years has been the old BGW’s, the Matrix is as good and or better to my ears…I was also very impressed with the audio detail and the dynamics…
THIS THING ROCKS!!! cant believe this sound is coming out such a light weighted amp. By the way it sounds so clear that I turned some effects down in some of my patches. And last, my rack is almost 10lbs less….Love it!!!!
Now I see what all the hype is all about.
…:::THIS IS A KEEPER:::…”

Jeffs from Xerosun
“From the moment I pulled the GT1000FX 2U out of the box it was clear how well built it was. It is light weight, only 4.1kg which is a bonus from a touring point of view…but most of all it is a pretty damn fine machine. It matches my Fractal Axe FX II down to the ground. It’s loud, literally no noise or hiss even at high volumes and it’s very responsive, transparent, and loose feeling like a tube amp!!
I’m yet to feel any heat coming out of it thanks to the fan fitted on the back which does it’s job as it is meant to (most amps are noisy and over heat even when fitted with two fans!!!).
I am looking forward to bring this on the road with Xerosun, and look forward even more to not hearing the crew moaning about their backs being put out
A job well done Matrix

“A friend of mine and fellow Matrix artist, Sean Ashe, turned me onto Matrix amps, and I haven’t looked back. The Matrix GT800 is a perfect addition for guitarists who use guitar modelers; I have all the power I’d ever need, and a unit that is extremely transparent and reliable. A truly perfect asset to any rig.”

Endorsement Applications
Please make sure you read the following before applying for an endorsement. We would like you to be aware that we do not offer free/complimentary products to 99% of applicants. That 1% who qualify have worldwide exposure and the highest of credentials. That said, artist relations is an essential ingredient in linking the Matrix brand to the consumer and a vital part of our ongoing development with regards to product feedback and new product ideas and development. Therefore we look for people who will help to promote us as fully as possible whether on the road, in interviews, via the web or combinations of these.
So, what do we require?
a) A covering letter or email detailing why you think you should be a Matrix endorsed artist. This should include details of what you can provide to promote the Matrix brand (i.e. touring or videos etc). Please include your contact details such as address, email and telephone numbers.
b) A press pack. Either physical or digital media. This should include a high resolution photo, band or artist bio, current recordings cd’s dvd’s etc, details of current or previous labels, distribution and any management details. We also require a future touring/gigging schedule with details of venue and crowd size. We will take into account past touring/gigging as well. Please list any other current endorsements you have.
c) A link to your official website not just Facebook, YouTube or MySpace although if you have them as well, we’ll take a look.
We get a lot of requests so please be patient with us. Bear in mind incomplete packs with little information will stand less chance of being considered. If sending a physical press pack then please don’t send “one of a kind” recordings as we can’t return them.
Please send your email to sales@matrixamplification.com with ArtistRelations in the subject.
We look forward to hearing from you!
